My name is Sherry Duncan. I am a proud Métis woman with roots in Alberta and Saskatchewan, and beyond. My work as an Educational Indigenous Consultant is deeply shaped by the teachings, values, and stories passed down through my family and community. Wherever I go, I carry with me the responsibility to honour the land and the peoples who have come before me. I acknowledge that I live, learn, and work on the traditional territories of Indigenous Peoples, lands that have been cared for since time immemorial by First Nations, Métis, and Inuit communities. This acknowledgement is not just a formality, it’s a commitment. A commitment to walk gently, to listen deeply, and to build relationships that honour truth, reconciliation, and belonging. I give thanks to the ancestors, the knowledge keepers, and the children
past, present, and future who guide this work.
For nearly four decades, I’ve walked alongside educators, leaders, and communities - offering support, perspective, and partnership rooted in experience, culture, and care. My work is grounded in a deep commitment to inclusive, culturally responsive learning that reflects both who we are and who we’re becoming.
Offering keynote speaking, hands-on workshops, cultural facilitation, professional development, and mentorship rooted in Indigenous identity and lived experience.
I work with educators, leaders, and communities to create inclusive, culturally responsive spaces through story, land, and relationship. Topics include (but are not limited to) reconciliation, Indigenous pedagogy, and authentic community engagement.
